Ariadne Artiles

AND THE MAASAI PROJECT

A unique collection that’s full of hope. A project combining the essence of the heart of Africa with Pikolinos’ knowhow.
International supermodel Ariadne Artiles is the Maasai Project ambassador. Right from the outset the Canary Island model has engaged with this charity initiative by doing her bit to help this special collection. Ariadne’s commitment, passion and love for the project are the perfect combination for a sandals collection which year after year sows hope on the African savannah.

Designs that put smiles on faces

The Maasai tribe once again brings colour and delight to Pikolinos’ most special creations. Coloured beads sewn by hand in Kenya and Tanzania to decorate our most charismatic sandals collection.
From Spain to Kenya, round trip
Pieces that tell stories, sandals which reflect the life of a community that passionately works to make its mark on the world. In the Maasai Mara, hundreds of Maasai women help build a better future for their families by hand embroidering the Pikolinos sandals which have most soul.

Solidarity and passion

Under the Pikolinos Solidarity umbrella and with its new Maasai sandals collection, Pikolinos is taking another step forward in its Corporate Social Responsibility vision by supporting and investing in the belief that a better world is possible.
This project cannot be described without mentioning ADCAM (Development, Alternative Trade and Microcredit Association). It’s an NGO that works for the economic sustainability of the Maasai community and to preserve its culture and lifestyle.

An initiative that enables them to preserve their culture and lifestyle while earning money which enables their families to access basic items such as education, food and medicine.
